Yesterday at the Ambassade de France en Allemagne ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง, we held a rich and forwardโlooking discussion on ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐
The conversation confirmed one key message:
Our panelists highlighted that womenโs economic vulnerability continues to be shaped by ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ; from education gaps and career interruptions to unequal access to finance, advice, and investment opportunities. Addressing this requires ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ, not individual responsibility alone.

A special thank you to our distinguished panelists for their insights and engagement:
Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, for demonstrating how

Ruth von Oppen, Bundesverband deutscher Banken, for addressing ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ง๐๐ and the responsibility of financial institutions to adapt products and advice.
Isabelle Hรคgewald, EditorโinโChief of Mein Geld, for highlighting the role of ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ in normalising women as investors and financial decisionโmakers.
Barbara Gessler, EU Representation to Germany, for framing womenโs economic security as a ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐.
What emerged clearly is a
Strengthen financial literacy across education, work, and family life
โ
Improve inclusive access to finance and trusted advice
โ
Foster stronger cooperation across sectors
โ
Treat womenโs economic security as a ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ
On behalf of Feminin Pluriel Berlin, my sincere thanks to all speakers and participants.
Strongly aligned with the Now is the time to ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and continue the conversation beyond the room.
